Walnut Cottage is a former farm worker’s building dating back to the 17th century, timber framed with many beams on display, under a clay tile roof. This well equipped, beautifully furnished ground floor cottage has a couple of internal steps, two bedrooms, one king-size double with en suite WC and basin and one single, a kitchen, bathroom and sitting room.
All our beds have the finest, crisp, white Egyptian cotton linen, duck and down feather duvets and pillows, but we can provide hypoallergenic replacements if requested. We provide fluffy white bath and hand towels and towelling robes to heighten your enjoyment of the quality bathroom facilities.
Master bedroom – king-size double
with a lovely outlook over the courtyard garden, with the Walnut Tree at its centre. En suite WC with basin.
Single bedroom
a cosy room with view of the rear garden.
Bathroom
bath with power shower over, WC, bidet and basin.
Kitchen
well laid out and equipped with all of the crockery, cutlery and glassware, as well as pots, pans and utensils you would expect to find in your own kitchen. Breakfast bar, dishwasher, microwave, fridge / freezer, electric hob and oven with cooker hood.
Sitting/dining room
with log-burning stove and dining table. You can sit in comfort in this cosy room and enjoy a movie on the flat screen TV with SKY, DVD player and surround sound system, read a book or listen to music on the hi-fi.
Outside space
Access to Walnut Cottage is via remote control operated gates into a gravelled private courtyard where there is secure parking.
You can sit , relax and enjoy the courtyard garden at the front of the property, alternatively the private garden at the rear of the property with barbecue and seating area.
A trampoline is available for children to bounce on and burn off excess energy!
